PSALM 23: A MODERN READING
Will Caldwell
The Lord is as my lighthouse;
And I shall not lose my course.
He shows me the deep channel;
And guides me into the safe harbor
Where repairs are made to my hull.
The Lord does this;
It befits His name.
Though I sail past the horizon,
I fear no storm – I remember Your goodness.
The memory of You, Your guidance – I keep them close.
When I return to Your shores, there is the clear beacon,
A sure light spread before me:
Illumination to grace my path.
Only for Your brilliance will I look
All the days of my life.
And as long as I may sail,
I shall return to this alcove
